DSS Arrests EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu!

* allegedly owns four properties

* allegedly transferring funds abroad through a third party.

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, was Monday arrested by the Department of State Services.

A breaking story by Sahara Reporters, reports that Magu was arrested over allegations that he owns four properties and that he was allegedly transferring funds abroad through a third party.

He was arrested at the Wuse II office of the DSS on Monday afternoon and is now reportdly undergoing interrogation at the DSS Headquarters In Aso Drive.

Theledgerng.com recall that middle of June, 2020, the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), recommended to President Muhammadu Buhari the sacking of  Magu.

Malami, in a memorandum to the president, anchored his recommendation on several grounds “raging from diversion of recovered loot to insubordination and misconduct” by Magu.

Malami reportedly included a short list of three candidates for consideration to replace Magu.
