NAWC holds Medical outreach in Minna

Nigerian Army Women's Corps NAWC, on Monday conducted a free medical outreach in Kure Ultra Model Market Minna, Niger State .

The items distributed include,  Mosquito nets, general consultations, free eye testing and issuance of free eyeglasses, dental  and other related health care service,

People especially nursing mothers, children and the elderly troop out from their areas to partake in the out reach.

The leader of the movement, Lt. Col. Susan Dibal, said the Medical Outreach will improve the relationship between the Army and Civilians in the country.

Dibal said, "Our doctors are here to attend to everybody on their ailments and if possible refer them to hospitals where they can be treated if we cannot handle it.

"We are here to improve the relationship between Military and civilians, we want to build it up where a civilian will feel at home with the military, 'we are out for civil military relationship."

The leader also disclosed that her team has visited 26 cities in the country, adding that it will end by December 23, 2019.

She however appealed to young girls to join the service to contribute their quota .

One of the beneficiaries, Zakari Ibrahim, commended the efforts of the Army women in reaching out to the less privileged ones in the society.

Ibrahim said,it will go along way to help a lot of people if it is being sustained annually.

Medical services were carried out by officers and men of the 31 Artillery Brigade and Nigerian Women's Army  Corps at Kure Market Minna.
